Highlights
If you are thinking whether you should buy the Realme C53 or not, first, it comes down to your own personal taste and inclinations. If you are a Realme fan and want one of their lower budget latest smartphones in 2023 till mid-2024, this is one option for you. Then, if the design plays a key role for you, we’d say, you may check this out as well. Yes, it has a U-Notch and no punch hole, but some of us do like the U-notch as well. It’s not a big deal, anyway. Ok, the body is made of plastic, but the gold color texture back panel still looks quite premium. It’s just 7.5mm slim and weighs 182 grams, which is very enjoyable to bear. There is no splash resistance or screen protection, which are some huge deficiencies. The screen is also HD+. When you pay about 17K for a smartphone at this time, you’d surely expect a Full HD+ screen.
Well, we do have a 90Hz refresh rate with the clean Realme UI T. Together with 6 GB RAM, day-to-day performance should be smooth. But then again, who’d pay 17K price for a Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset? It’s not that the phone is too bad. It’s simply very overpriced, and that looks odd and we have to say this because the consumers deserve a fair market.
The primary camera isn’t that bad with the 50 MP resolution and 1080p Full HD video recording. The 8 MP selfie capturar can take fine shots too, but there is a maximum 720p video recording option. We got 128 GB storage and a dedicated MicroSD slot so that’s well done. We got Android 13 and perhaps there will be an Android 14 update but can’t confirm at this moment. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is convenient. The charging time is about 1 hour 10 to 15 minutes and you can expect between one day to one and a half day backup for regular usage.
